We all want to be happy. A happy state of mind gives a boost to our

immune system and reduces stress levels.

Being in a happy state of mind could become a habit with regular

practice. The inner desire to be happy should be so strong that it

overpowers all our negative thoughts.

Invariably, we struggle to rule out all negative thoughts from our

lives.

Unknowingly, we encourage negativity in our thought process assuming that it would give us a competitive edge in our professional, emotional and social circumstances. However, every time we choose to focus on a negative, we actually end up wasting our energy and add complications to

our life. The more attention we give to what we don't want in our life, the more energy it absorbs.

Negative thoughts, if left unaddressed, gradually grow to dominate the better part of our thinking capabilities and our overall persona becomes negative.

A negative minded person stops trusting people around him, he is

gripped by a fear of the unknown and always expects dire consequences for all his actions. He fails to register many small things that could have made him happy if he had paid attention to them.

But you have the power to make your life positive. You have the power to heal yourself and boost your immune system through positive thinking.

Some basic changes in your thought process could add more positivity into your life. If you want to be happy then you have to master your thought process and develop a habit to be happy.

Here are a few ways to add positive energy into your life:

● Love and accept yourself as you are right now. Stop engaging in

self-blame.

● Use your time, energy and vitality wisely.

● Free yourself from past resentments and disappointments.

● Stop looking for reasons to criticise and blame others for their

acts.

● Let go of your desire to control others.

● Use your imagination to your advantage and see things as you want

them to be.

● Focus your attention on the things in your life that make you feel

good.

● Take nothing for granted. Develop an attitude of gratitude for all

the good things in your life. Be grateful for the good health and

well-being coming your way.

● Instead of picturing worst case scenarios, see things positively.

Visualise ideal outcomes not dire consequences.

● Appreciate every moment of life and celebrate small things in life.

● And add a daily dose of laughter to your life.
